Fully automated feeding of profiles
The MPS 3D vision camera robot handling system from Van Dulst Techniek was developed for the automatic loading of production lines with long aluminum extrusion profiles - directly from crates, without predefined positioning. Using advanced 3D vision technology and smart robot control, the system independently recognizes the orientation of the profiles, determines the optimal gripping strategy, and performs the loading process fully automatically.

Why Choose MPS 3D Vision Robot Handling
The MPS 3D Vision Robot Handling enables fully automatic loading from crates without the need for fixed product positioning. The system is flexible enough to handle a wide variety of profiles and ensures consistent output and stable cycle times. In addition, it reduces the risk of damage and errors and decreases the reliance on manual labor in the process.

3D Vision System
3D vision technology forms the core of the system. For each robot operation, a 3D image is created of the crate, in which profiles are recognized and their exact position, rotation, and height are determined.
Based on this, the system calculates the optimal picking sequence and safe gripping points, thereby preventing incorrect picks and collisions. Even if a product is lying at an angle or tilted, the 3D vision recognizes this and picks it up.
After each operation, the crate is reanalyzed to ensure a continuously adaptive and reliable process.
Robot & Gripper
The industrial 6-axis robot is responsible for automatically picking up and positioning the aluminum profiles.
Thanks to vacuum grippers, the robot can handle long profiles in a stable and controlled manner, even with varying shapes and lengths.
The robot is fully controlled by the vision system and dynamically adjusts its movements per cycle, ensuring a precise and continuous material flow toward the machine.
