MPS automatic production line
This machine is primarily intended for high-speed drilling and sawing of base plates and wind braces. The machine is equipped with an 11 kW drilling motor, enabling holes with a diameter of 30 mm in material thickness of 25 mm to be produced in 8 seconds.
Automatic Production Line with Robot Integration
The miter saw unit accurately cuts products to length, while a 6-axis robot on a track handles the transfer between machines and to the assembly line. MPS machines, software, and a customized layout are used to create a fully integrated and safe production line.
Automation of the feed section
The MPS miter saw installation has an automatic buffer magazine for 15 profiles, whereby a QR code sends profile information to the sawing machine. Length, width, and height are accurately measured in advance.
Profiles can be placed in the correct orientation in any magazine position and reloaded during production, which increases uptime.
Servo-controlled MPS systems with grippers ensure fast and accurate positioning.
The processing section
The processing section includes an automatic spindle miter saw with a 550 mm saw blade, a unique clamping system, and automatic miter adjustment.
The saw stroke adjusts to the profile width, and short waste pieces are automatically removed via a moving saw table.
Equipped with hydropneumatic or servo-controlled saw feed, a labeling unit for unique codes, and a minimal lubrication system.
Automation of the discharge section
Products longer than 200 mm are discharged to the front or rear via an MPS flat magazine, depending on the chosen layout. The servo-controlled MPS discharge gripper transports the sawn profiles from the sawing unit to the buffer magazine.
Approximately five products are buffered between the sawing unit and the robot pick-up position, with the option of adding more positions.

The control software developed by MPS optimizes the processing sequence for efficient production. Program input is easy thanks to the clear interface. All MPS machines use the same software structure and HMI control. The MPS control system regulates the sawing installation, robot installation, and the Mecal CNC machines in the fully automated cell.
