Efficient and automated profile machining
The production line developed by MPS combines an automatic sawing installation with robotised handling to one or more Mecal CNC profile machining machines. This innovative combination delivers unparalleled output and maximum efficiency.
A 6-axis robot, placed on a robot track, takes care of the handling between the saw unit and the CNC machines, making the process fully automated.
The realisation of a complete production line starts with a thorough inventory of your wishes and requirements. Based on this, a custom layout is designed to integrate the MPS machine perfectly into your production hall, optimising functionality, efficiency, and space utilisation.
Precision Machining and Product Coding
The machining section consists of a robust machine frame with various machining units, including three horizontal and two vertical drilling units that can be adjusted in different directions, a triple milling unit, a pin-stamp marking unit for applying unique product codes, and a servo-controlled sawing unit that can achieve high sawing speeds. All machining units are equipped with a minimal lubrication system.
Automation of the feed section
The MPS drilling, milling, and sawing installation has an automatic loading system for profiles.
The operator can pause the machine to load new feed lengths and then resume immediately, which increases uptime.
Automatic positioning is performed using servo-controlled MPS systems and grippers for fast and accurate results.
The machining section
The machining section consists of a heavy-duty machine frame, on which the following machining units are mounted:
3 horizontal and 2 vertical drilling units, a 3-axis milling unit, a pin-stamp marking unit for unique product codes, and a servo-controlled sawing unit that enables high sawing speeds.
The drilling units can be adjusted in various directions and all units are equipped with a minimum lubrication system.
Automation of the discharge section
Products longer than 120 mm are discharged at the front, while the Yaskawa robot picks up products measuring 60-120 mm and places them in boxes according to a pattern.
Thanks to two safety zones, full boxes can be removed without interrupting production.
State-of-the-art control software
The modular software for the production line was also developed by MPS. The MPS control software optimizes the processing sequence, ensuring that your products are processed as efficiently as possible. The clear interface makes it very easy to enter programs for each profile type. All MPS machines have the same software structure and HMI control. This is a major advantage for you as a customer.
